Pockit Solutions Pty Ltd (Pockit, we, us, our) is committed to protecting personal information and handling it in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including the Australian Privacy Principles.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information in connection with our website, platform, services, communications and related business activities.
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we collect from or about:
- Advisers who use our platform;
- contractors who use our platform;
- users who create accounts or interact with our website;
- individuals whose information is included in engagement schedules, work orders, communications or documents uploaded to the platform;
- suppliers and service providers;
- job applicants and prospective contractors; and
- other individuals who interact with us.
2. Platform Role
Pockit operates a platform that may allow advisers and contractors to connect, communicate, manage engagements, access documents, complete engagement schedules or work orders, and exchange information.
Where Advisers and contractors enter into agreements with each other, Pockit is not a party to those agreements unless expressly stated otherwise.
Personal information may be shared between Advisers and contractors where necessary to enable the relevant engagement, schedule, work order, communication, payment administration, compliance process or platform functionality.
3. Types of Personal Information We Collect
The personal information we collect depends on how you interact with us. It may include:
Account and contact information
- name;
- business name;
- job title or role;
- email address;
- phone number;
- postal or business address;
- account login details;
- user profile information; and
- communication preferences.
Business and professional information
- ABN, ACN or business registration details;
- role, industry, skills and experience;
- qualifications, licences, registrations and certifications;
- insurance information;
- contractor onboarding information;
- languages spoken
- employment or engagement history;
- professional profile information; and
- information contained in resumes, CVs or applications.
Engagement and platform information
- engagement schedules, bookings, work orders and service descriptions;
- details of services requested or provided;
- fees, invoices and payment-related information;
- messages, support requests and communications;
- documents uploaded to or generated through the platform;
- feedback, reviews, ratings or complaints; and
- records of electronic acceptance of terms, including time, date, IP address, user ID and accepted version.
Payment and billing information
We may collect billing details and transaction information. Where card or bank payment processing is used, payment information may be collected and processed by a third-party payment processor. We do not intend to store full credit card details unless expressly stated.
Website and technical information
When you use our website or platform, we may collect:
- IP address;
- device and browser information;
- pages visited;
- date and time of access;
- referring website or URL;
- location information derived from your device or IP address;
- cookie and analytics information; and
- usage, diagnostic and performance data.
Sensitive information

- directly from you when you create an account, complete a form, use the platform, contact us or communicate with us;
- through our website, platform, online forms, email, phone, social media or messaging tools;
- when you accept terms electronically or enter into an engagement schedule or work order;
- from Advisers, contractors or other platform users where they provide information relevant to an engagement;
- from payment processors, identity verification providers, analytics providers or other service providers;
- from publicly available sources, where permitted by law;
- from referees, employers or professional bodies, where relevant and permitted; and
- in connection with competitions, promotions, surveys, support requests or complaints.
Where practicable, we collect personal information directly from the individual concerned. However, in some cases, personal information may be provided to us by another user, such as an Advisor providing information about a contractor, or a contractor providing information relevant to an Advisor engagement.
5. Why We Collect, Use and Disclose Personal Information
We collect, use and disclose personal information for purposes including:
- providing, operating and improving our website, platform and services;
- creating and managing user accounts;
- enabling Advisers and contractors to connect and manage engagements;
- generating, completing, storing or administering engagement schedules, work orders and related documents;
- facilitating communications between users;
- supporting electronic acceptance of terms and keeping acceptance records;
- processing or facilitating payments, invoices, refunds, chargebacks and billing;
- verifying identity, authority, eligibility, qualifications, licences or insurance where required;
- providing customer support and responding to enquiries;
- managing complaints, disputes, investigations and platform integrity issues;
- maintaining security, fraud prevention and misuse detection;
- complying with legal, regulatory, taxation, accounting, record keeping and compliance obligations;
- administering supplier, contractor and business relationships;

- sending service messages, administrative notifications and platform updates;

- any other purpose notified to you at the time of collection or otherwise permitted by law.
6. Disclosure of Personal Information

- Advisers and contractors, where necessary for an engagement, schedule, work order, platform interaction, communication or dispute;
- our employees, contractors, related entities and personnel who need the information for our business purposes;
- third-party service providers, including hosting providers, software providers, payment processors, identity verification providers, email and messaging providers, analytics providers, customer support providers and document management providers;
- professional advisers, including lawyers, accountants, auditors, insurers and consultants;
- regulators, law enforcement agencies, government authorities, courts, tribunals and dispute resolution bodies where required or authorised by law;
- third parties involved in a business sale, restructure, merger, financing or transfer of our assets or business;
- anyone to whom you authorise us to disclose information; and
- any other person or organisation where disclosure is required or permitted by law.
We do not sell personal information.
7. Overseas Disclosure
Some of our service providers may store, process or access personal information outside Australia.
Where we disclose personal information overseas, we will take reasonable steps required by the Privacy Act to ensure that the overseas recipient handles the information appropriately, unless an exception applies.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Where required, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain business records and enforce agreements.
When personal information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to destroy it or de-identify it, unless we are required or permitted by law to retain it.
13. Access and Correction
You may request access to personal information we hold about you.
You may also request that we correct personal information if you believe it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading.
To protect privacy and security, we may require you to verify your identity before responding to an access or correction request.
We will respond to access and correction requests within a reasonable period. In some circumstances, we may refuse access or correction where permitted by the Privacy Act. If we refuse a request, we will provide reasons where required by law.

Third-party websites and services are governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
16. Template Documents and User-Generated Content
Our platform may allow users to access template documents, complete engagement schedules, upload documents, exchange information or create user-generated content.
Users are responsible for ensuring that they have the right to upload, use or disclose any personal information they provide through the platform.
Where an Advisor or contractor provides personal information about another individual, that user must ensure that the collection, use and disclosure of that information is lawful and that any required notices or consents have been obtained.
17. Job Applicants, Contractors and Suppliers
If you apply for a role with us, provide services to us, or act as a supplier contact, we may collect personal information for recruitment, assessment, engagement, administration, payment, compliance and business relationship management purposes.
This may include identity information, contact details, qualifications, employment history, references, right to work information, payment details and other information provided as part of the recruitment or engagement process.
18. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
The current version will be available on our website or platform. The updated Privacy Policy will apply from the date it is published or otherwise notified, unless stated otherwise.
