Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to use Tanngo?

Tanngo charges a booking fee which is included in the job cost. This fee can range from 5% -25% of the job fee depending on the paraplanner used. There are no other costs to book a job through Tanngo.

What checks do the paraplanners have before they join Tanngo?

All paraplanners are background checked and have their qualification verified before joining.

Do I need an ABN to join Tanngo as a paraplanner?

Yes, you will need to provide your ABN which Tanngo will use to create an invoice on your behalf for services provided.

Is there a joining fee?

There are no joining fees for financial advisers to sign up to Tanngo. Paraplanners will pay a once off joining fee of $50 plus $50 for every qualification check.

Can I sign up as a business or do I need to sign up as an individual?

Tanngo currently supports individuals only (paraplanners and financial advisers) but will soon accommodate advice businesses and paraplanning teams.

Do I need to post a minimum number of jobs to keep my account open?

No, there is no minimum number of jobs you need to post to keep your account open.

How do I choose the right paraplanner for the job?

You can view your paraplanners profile before selecting them for the job. Their profile will have information about their education, work history and capabilities. Each paraplanner will have a feedback score and reviews so you can choose the right paraplanner for your job.

Is my client data secure?

Tanngo uses Australian storage services and all data is encrypted with sha-256 and RSA encryption while also using two-factor verification to secure all confidential and personal data.

All client data uploaded to the job request is only visible to the paraplanner after the bid is accepted, and is deleted three months after the job is completed.

Can I email my paraplanner directly outside of Tanngo?

Tanngo lets you chat with your paraplanner in the job to make sure all your conversations are in the one place and easy to reference. Tanngo does not let you email paraplanners directly for security reasons and dispute resolution purposes.

What if the paraplanner doesn’t complete the job?

If your paraplanner cancels or doesn’t complete the job, your job will be relisted immediately. The paraplanner’s ‘cancellation rate’ will be negatively impacted.

You’ll be able to see and avoid paraplanners that cancel jobs frequently to make sure your jobs are not delayed.

What if the adviser cancels the job after it’s accepted?

If an adviser need to cancel a job after it has been accepted, there is a $50 or 20% cancellation fee, whichever is greater.

If the cancellation is less than two days from the due date, a cancellation fee of up to 80% may apply depending on circumstances. The adviser will receive any work the paraplanner has completed up to this date.

Can I share my financial planning software passwords with my paraplanner?

If you choose to share your passwords with your paraplanner that is at your risk and with permission from the software provider.

How long is my client data stored for?

Once a job is complete, the job is archived for three (3) months for dispute resolution services, after which time the client data is deleted permanently.

Can I get reporting from Tanngo on the job history?

To request reports on your job history please email admin@tanngo.com.au
